The Benefits of Online Marketing
When the internet began in the mid 1990s, people who had traditional “bricks and mortar” businesses didn't know the real Benefits of Online Marketing, and used the internet as a way to drive traffic to their stores, restaurants, or companies.
They didn’t sell anything online because, quite frankly, e-commerce was too difficult to do and a lot of people did not trust giving their credit cards out over the internet. Since then, we have all found out that there are many benefits of online marketing, for both the local and the worldwide seller.
If you are a local business, you probably don’t think the internet has any real benefits to you, other than telling people where you are located. But, by providing a full array of product and service descriptions, prices, and the ability to order from your site, you may end up increasing your potential customer base well beyond that of your home town.
The benefits of online marketing mean that by the time a customer contacts you, they will know quite a bit about your business, and these leads will therefore be more qualified than someone just walking in off the street. You will be better able to put your sales force to work because the lead is already interested and knowledgeable about what you do and what you have to offer.
The benefits of online marketing are more than just getting qualified leads. By doing the majority of your advertising and promotion online, you will save more money than you could ever imagine. You will reach a new audience that ads in the phone book just don’t reach.
You also give the public the impression that you are a technologically-minded company that cares about its customers and wants to provide as much information as possible. It is a great way to make sales and increase your customer base.
